o bento kyu


Top: Orange and blueberries. Capsicum and hommus.
Bottom: Carrot fritters, broccoli and garlic mushrooms (the sauce bottles have sweet chili sauce in them, to have with the carrot fritters).

(The carrot fritters were a bit of an experiment, I'll post the recipe if they end up tasting good!)

  1. This looks so yummy. I am new to the whole Bento lunch idea. Is that much food really enough to fill you up? I understand one can get used to it, but I just fail to see when I will ever get used to a lunch box with so little carbs. Loving your blog, btw.

    I have gradually cut down my meal sizes and removed carbs from my diet as part of my lifestyle change to lose weight.
    I'll have this bento at lunch, but I'll also eat a low fat yoghurt for morning tea. When I get home I will also eat a small snack before dinner.
    I find eating smaller meals regularly (5 or 6 times a day) has worked really well for me in my weight loss process.

  3. Also, I think its important to say, it fills me enough. I'm no longer hungry, but I'm not exploding.
