quick noodle stir-fry
Ingredients (makes two small bento sized serves)
- 2 tablespoons kecap manis
- 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 200g udon noodles
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 carrot, thinly sliced
- 50g frozen, sliced beans
Method- Combine sauces in a small bowl.
- Heat a small frying pan over a med-high heat. Add the oil. Swirl to coat. Add egg. Swirl to thinly coat base. Cook for 1 minute or until just set. Transfer to a board. Roll up. Thinly slice.
- Add onion to pan. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until softened. Add frozen beans cook for one minute, add carrot and cook for another minute minute or until tender.
- Add noodles and sauce. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Stir in egg and serve.
I love udon noodles, Tegan! Stir-fried or in soups, yum :)! You say that you like bubble tea, check out some online stores, I am sure they'll send to Australia too. But I am very sure there must be some Oz-based online bubble tea stores.

My elder gal loves Udon! shall try your recipe (w/o chilli thou...) the next time she wanna eat! Btw, is this 'kecap manis' a dark sweet sauce?
ReplyDeleteYes kecap manis is Indonesian sweet soy. I love it, I use it all the time it is so tasty!
